Stirling native and Raymond resident, Jim Hillyer was elected as the
federal representative for the Lethbridge riding on May 2, 2011. In
2012, the government instituted a change of boundaries for ridings in
southern Alberta. This instilled in Jim a desire to seek nomination in
the new Medicine Hat – Cardston – Warner riding to which his home town
had been adopted. His ensuing successful Conservative party nomination
in that riding has given Jim the opportunity to represent and serve the
communities and the people he has known and loved his entire life.
Jim has served as a consultant, an educator and an entrepreneur
throughout his life. Jim holds a B.A. Philosophy and an M.A. Political
Economy.
Jim and his wife Livi have four wonderful children.
Jim is running as the Federal Conservative candidate for Medicine Hat - Cardston - Warner, Alberta in the October 2015 Federal Election.
